Question where to buy water temp sensor for SA

the sender unit on my 79 is busted and my guage won't read. I've seen them at mazdatrix, but they say they only work with new housings and Mazda doesnt make the old ones anymore. To compound this problem, it's hard to find anything for an SA. It's really annoying when you look through Victoria British or Mazdatrix and everything is labeled "81-85". Anyway, does anyone know where I can find one??

its a just a temp sensor. all pre-86 except for GSL-SE are the same thing. if the colors are different, just hook it up directly. send me SASE if you want it. I have been junking those **** since the aftermarket water temp sender goes into that spot.

It's in the summer edition. Listed on right side of page 76 as #52. rx7doctor
Or you could take up Wacky's offer, he needs something to do because he's bored.

but what is the difference between the coolant temp sensor on the left column, and the water temp on the right? Aren't they the same thing? Am I missing something?

the one on the left is for the emission system, the one on the right is for the gauge
reading in the dash. rx7doctor

I don't know...I've been moving pretty slow. Between working too many hours, golf season starting here in Iowa, and being a little lazy, I haven't done much on it lately. I got the Holley 650 double pumper, so I have to get that installed and button up a couple of other things. I still need to work on mounting the front mount oil cooler and replacing the fuel system (Mallory fuel pump, fuel filter, and fuel pressure regulator). Looks like it'll be a while. But then I'll ship it right out to you!

The truck may get diverted and end up stopping about an hour south of his house....
