when spinning wheels, 2 strips or 1?

hey, might seem like an odd question. One day i dropped the clutch in my gsl-se at around 5000 rpm. I went back and i ::thought:: i remember seeing 2 lines from my tires... would there be one or two lines with a stock gsl-se?

eh, not TOO too much, as i only wound out 1st gear (then shifted normally into 2nd, didn't drop the clutch)

but it was pretty sweet I did it on a main road at school where there is a stop sign (easy to see, no people near the street). I'm sure everybody that was around looked tho, hard not to when u hear "vrooooooooOOOOOMMMMMMM ::SCREEEEEEEECH::!!!!!"

it's called LSD bythe way homie. Try going off at a 45 degree angle from a stop thats always fun.

GS's didn't come stock with LSD, so unless you or a previous owner upgraded to a GSL rear end it should have drum brakes and no LSD.

Yeah that's true. However my old '82 GS would leave two tire marks after a clutch dump. I sure could feel the inside tire lose traction during a turn though. The new GSL axle in my '79 does make a hell of a difference.

i know my gs doesnt have lsd but when dumping the clutch i always get 2 tires spinning. turning a corner is a different story, but that wasnt what the thread was about.
