When do I get a better fuel pump?

Hey, here's a fairly stupid question, but when is the stock fuel pump on my '82 GSL not going to be enough? I already have a RB header coming, and the cats are gone, so exhaust will be better. Next is intake, of which I don't know what I will be doing, but right after that, will the pump need to be upgraded? Or does this wait until the engine is street ported or supercharged or turbo'd or even NOS'ed, of which I probably won't do any of these until I get a new engine. Thanks everone-

From what I understand, now would be a good time. You can get the pump and regulator from summitracing.com for under $100 I think

Apparantly you notice an improvement over the stock fuel pump even if your car is unmodified.
