Wheel Tire Combination

Ive searched, and ive came up with lotsa of information.

I want to get Diamond Racing SCL Wheels.

I want either 15x7 or 15x8.

Will both fit?

Anyone have pics of 15x7 and 15x8 on a GSL-SE?

Will i have to roll the fenders?

What tires will i need and will they be to low profile?

any other info i should know before ordering, i plan to order in 2 weeks, ordering mariah body kit next week when they get the rear wrap in

If you're going to go as big as 7" or 8" wide you MUST make sure that the offset is around 25-30. Otherwise it will not fit. Mine is 40, the stock offset for the SE and mine is 15X6.5 and i have literally .5" of clearance between my wheel and spring (racing beat lowering springs). I would guess that you wish to fill up all the space inside the fenders. Take into the fact that the stock SE wheel weighs about 5lbs!!!!! My new wheels weigh around 11lbs. There is a slight change in acceleration. With my wheels I have the Toyo Proxes 4 tires size 205/55R15. Fills up the fronts some room in the rear, so you can go larger in the rear. Doing this you will not be able to rotate tires correctly.

and to add, no they will not be low profile. I believe low pros in a FB are...........tacky. I would not go any larger than a 15" wheel.

The stock SE wheel does NOT weigh five pounds, more like 12-14 pounds. The change in acceleration is due to the increased rolling diameter of the tire.

a stock tires is about the same as a 205/50/15

a heavier wheel will reduce acceleration. It is VERY noticeable

you can fit a 225 on a stock wheel.

a 15x8 will be to wide. youll rub ALOT. If you want a really wide wheel go with a 13 and expect it to stick out about 1/2 inch. Ill look like an auto x car.

most people run 15x6.5 or 7 at the most with a 33 offset and still run a 205 seiries tire.
