Wheel stud thread pitch and where to buy longer studs?
1/2 or 5/8 (GSL-SE if that matters)?
I'm also looking for where to buy longer studs, i've searched google and eBay, yet come up with next to nothing. The wheels from my Rx-7 do not fit the front of my AE86 without hitting the strut, i need to space it more than the factory wheel studs will allow.
I've found this.

I'm sure there's places better than there that i could look.

I've went to NAPA, Autozone, Tire Barn, and Atterson Tire.
Tire Barn sent me to Autozone, Autozone sent me to NAPA, NAPA sent me to Atterson Tire, Atterson Tire sent me back to NAPA.
I'm going to have to buy these online.

Just 8 for the front.
Hopefully if i do buy these, the kern(? [place between the head and threads]) is correct and they're of the proper length.

It's not for my Rx-7, i was just curious of the thread pitch because my lug nuts are interchangeable. I guess i'll pop out a stud from both cars, see if those are interchangeable, then check out what Mazdatrix has to offer.

My friend has a tire shop and hooked me up with longer studs when I changed the stock 85 GSL rims to 15x7 BBS (old school) rims. He can get damn near anything.
If you hit a brick wall with these other leads, let me know. I'll ty to help through him.

for non SE cars you can simply buy screw in studs:

for SE cars, you need to take the rotors off and press in the the studs...don't know where to get those

Actually, the way the SE is designed, the studs can be removed and replaced without removing anything.

I just tapped mine with a pipe wrench, popped right out. Either way, it's not for my SE, i need studs for a totally different car, but the diameter of the threads and pitch are the same.

The 2nd gen wheel studs are longer than the -SE, so I took off my rotors, and drove the short studs out with a sledge hammer, and smacked the new ones in.
I got mine from Mazda Comp. although they are a stock part.
