Wheel Size Suggestions 13 vs 15

The car is an FB with a '90 13B in it. It's used mainly for time trials. Trailered wherever it goes.

My question is on wheel size. I have a few set of and have been running 13" wheels. Mostly with Hoosiers or Toyos. I've done some research on the 15" options and read a few things about going up. I'd like to get a few opinions from those of you that have run both. The rear end is still stock, so I may have to go to a higher gearing (especially if I got to 15").

Those of you that have run 15" on the track, what are your impressions. Should I stick with 225s on 13x7s or get 15 x 7s?

Thanks in advance.

A 13 inch wheel/tire combo will effectively shorten your gearing which will give you better acceleration. I think that's what you'd want best for a time trial car. If your looking for more grip, why not go wider?

255 Hoosiers on a 9 or 10" wheel ftw

Staying wit 13s will make it easier to keep your ride height (and center of gravity) low. I think the only reason you might want to go to a 15" wheel would be if you are running out of gear on the straights, as it would effectively raise your gear ratio.
