I'm sure he has them for the same reason you all have yours. He likes them.

It is a bit extreme, but hell, it's his car and if he likes it... all the power to him.

Makes sense, like that I was wondering if the tires ruined the fenders every time you hit a bump. Love the color of the car though and can't wait to see it finished.

Thumbs down

flared or not, you have the wrong backspace and size. that car reminds me of the 80's when the lowered mini-pick up trucks were around.

you know nothing about the 80's I can tell. the 80's mini-p/u looks like a frog since most of them are running spacers to make the tires stick out OR are using rims that are wider in the outside than inside.

As far as I know the only company that can get them is Mariah Motorsports. After shipping they would come to around $3000US. Alot of people don't have that kind of scratch lying around, or have more important things to spend it on. I'm willing to save that much and I looked into them but have my mind set on something else.

I have some 14x6" mesh wheels w/ 10mm offset that fit nicely, will try to take some decent pictures and post them later.

if you have the right backspace, then it shouldnt stick out that far. now, you want them rims so you can have flares? either way, its not wide enough and its really ugly to find a large gap between the back of rims/tires and the frame/inner fender walls. you may as well add some hydraulic and make your RX-7 into a low-rider.

^^If it's getting a V8 in it, I would definitely put some wider wheels on the back simply for traction. You'll just roast those tires and not go anywhere

For my FB wheels you'll have to look at my avatar for I am simple-minded and have yet to figure out the pic posting thing. I like my 14" SE stock wheels. I don't see them that often and when I do I appreciate Mazda's design. Any thoughts? Is there a name for them? (I am only aware of the SA's "waffle" name.)
