Wheel selection for my SA

I'm going to get rid of my 17" wheels and go with 15" wheels. Going to install a 8.8 rear also and keeping the 4x114.3 bolt pattern. I need to get some wheels. I like the SSR 15" mesh. what would you guys pay for a set of these? front-16X6.5" and rear 15X7" I need to make a decision by friday.. They are going on my white SA that has a gsl-se suspension on it.. thanks..

Not sure how picky you are but having 2 dirfferent looking rims (centers) would drive me crazy!

BTW - I do have a set of 4 mesh rims for sale for a gslse that fit flush with the fenders. Check my threads for the link if interested.

Umm im not sure about your rim sizes but if that works for you with 16 up front and 15 in the back go for it. If it was a matching set (4) in 15'' or 16'' maybe $400-900 depending on where you look, but i dint know if you could get that with the combination of wheels you have at the moment.

Personally I would look for a complete set

I like the old school look of those wheels, but let me throw a wrench in things. lol. Have you thought about doing the ReSpeed kit for the front so you can mount the 2nd gen calipers and rotors? The 5X114.3 bolt pattern will give a much wider range of wheel selection, the Ford rear end can be drilled to match and you will be able to upgrade the braking performance to match the hp potential of the car.

From experience, never get in a hurry when making these decisions, unless it is an absolutely killer deal you can't pass up and can sell later if need be.

By going with the 5 bolt wheel pattern, you may be able find wheels cheaper than the 4 bolt one's, thereby helping offset the upgrade costs for the front.

Just reread your post. If you are going to mismatch rim diameters, the taller ones should be in the back.

****.. I mistyped it.. 15X 6.5 in front and 15X 7 in rear... I can't edit it.. I can get these wheels for 500 shipped which i think is pretty good.. Will do the TII front 4 pots but going to keep the 4 lug pattern..

Oh, then thats not bad.

But one more question seeing how your side skirts already have that wide flare why not get some fender flares and run some wider wheels I think that would really set your car off.

You are pushing, or shooting for, how much hp? Though the TAs on the back of mine are getting a little hard, but still have plenty of tread, hitting 2nd gear puts the widebody sideways at 7k with the NA 1/2 bp. You may find that you don't have enough meat on the ground with a 7" wide rim.

That's what I'm starting to think.. Will talk to a body shop to see if they can make me some custom flares for the rear.. then will get some 8" wide for the back
