Wheel cylinder help!
So i'm stumped!, My right rear wheel cylinder keeps extending to much. As in, You push the brakes, the same cylinder keeps blow out on the same side. all my other brakes parts work perfectly. No sized calipers, or wheel cylenders, the master cylinder is new, new booster, and wheel cylenders. Why would be causeing this? BTW its a 79, And yes the drums are ajusted right, and more and the wheel is locked up.

Shitty wheel cylinders? I baught the top of the line ones and ive never had a problem, yet my last ones blew out because my MC was directing 90% of the pressure to the rear tires. So i replaced that quick. Maybe your porportioning valve is f'd. Other than that, the only thing i could think of is that the splitter between the brake shoes is too loose, allowing it to push that far, or the drum is too worn but thats unlikely. As the doctor said, the spring might not be strong enough or broken so its just staying open.

Sounds to me like your brake fluid is too powerful. Try switching to the next DOT number down.
