Wheel Cylinder

Okay, I have a 79' with stock drum brakes, when on vacation my brother continued the work on my 7. He phoned me that he was going to get a SE rear end for the disk brakes. He disassembled the brakes and also the wheel cylinder and pipe connecting to it. In the end he didn't get the rear and forced me to assemble the drum brakes, but only problem is is that the pipe (which sends the fluid to the brakes) wont screw back into the wheel cylinder. I checked the screw and the inside of the hole and the thread seems okay... so what is the problem?

The "pipe" is known as a brake line, If the thread is fine on the line, and it goes completely into the back of the wheel cylinder without threading, the thread may be stripped and you may need a new wheel cylinder. Otherwise, keeping trying to thread it, jiggle it, push on it while threading it. If you break the line by accidently folding it, crimping it, or breaking it, you will need to replace the whole line.

Have fun, because drums are easy Hope you dont think rear disc will be that much better

try threading the flare nut into the cylinder BEFORE mounting it to the backing plate.
