when changing rotors i would change the bearings for new ones too. as for your picture i just pry off the grease seal with a screw driver. then the bearing should fall right out. after that u need to punch the bearing race out. gl

I am with wood on this, If you are going to put new rotors in then put in new bearings and seal.

Here is how you get the seal out.

Put the big nut back on the spindle. put the rotor onto the spindle just enought that the seal is on the back side of the nut. use the rotor to pull forward, rotate and do it again. about 3 good pulls and the seal will come out. %50 of the time it will be reusable.

i have new bearings on the way, but what about the bearing race. i found that there were notches in it, but i couldn't seem to figure it out. do i need to take it out or will it come with the new bearings? if i do need it, whats the best way to remove it?

Generry the new rotor has one already installed in it, and the new Bearing box will have one also.

Get a punch with a flat point and hammer it out gently. Good as new.

Use a brass bunch for this one, they are softer so less chance of marking it up, but just take small steps so it doesnt bend up.
