Question Wheel adapters, Thoughts?

so finding wheels that are 4x110 is not so easy to find as we all know. Anyone every try out adapters to fit 4x114.3 or 4x100 hub patterns? i'm thinking on doing this, because the wheels i really want are 4x114.3 or 4x100. "enkei apache ii"

There is local who brought his front hubs and axles to Cooks where they drilled it to 4x114. Idk how much and if there were any issues afted.

Finding it is not hard but many are not willing to pay for it.

That might be a better option, to have the wheels bolt pattern changed from 4x110 to 4x114.3. It's not too far off.

I can see that being a good alternative, but the wheels i want to get are a 4-spoke design, so i couldn't do that?

That would be my situation. And i know rota has 4x110 wheels, but i feel i cant trust that company since they are "rep" wheels. And to me, they just look cheaply made, i don't know much about their product, but from what i've seen is enough to make me not want to "waste" money on their wheels.

I would price the cost of adapters and/or the machining necessary versus a set of SE front spindles and a rear axle... Might be cheaper just to bolt on the parts you need to get to 4x114.3.

I have a spare set of adapters I temporarily used, and they work just fine. was only on 15x6s though.

I don't think that'll be an issue. You're in CA right? There are a bunch of wheel shops that can do it. Call Wheel Flip and speak to Alex, he'll tell you if it'll work or not.

Just google 4x110 to 4x114 wheel adapters and find what works for you. You'll need at least one inch adapters to get close to fitting the stock lug bolts underneath the wheels without clearance issues. However, you will likely have to shave down the heads of your stock lug bolts to clear the recesses in the adapters to allow your wheel to sit flatly against the face of the adapters.

better to just get studs

remember to get it short enough because it has to sit flush on it, or just cut off the tip
