Im not sure but it seems like my car idles too low. I dont know much about Rx7's seeing that I just got one. My car usally idles at like 300-450 rpms somewhere around. What should it normally be idleing at or is that normal for my type of car. Any info is much appericated

 

an 85 GS with the 12a motor should idle at 750rpm. To get the idle smooth with the carbbies is to make sure timing is on and have a good set of spark plugs and wires.

If it's 300-450 rpm, how can you tell? The lowest mark on the tach is 500, right?

 

I think to lowest mark is like 250 rpms.

 

Yea te lowest line is 250. As for it idleing, Im gonna replace the spark plugs and have my friends dad check the timing and see if we can raise the idle a little bit. I knew that 400 rpms seemed low.
