What's this Connector?

Does anyone have any idea of what this connector is for. It leads from somewhere under the passenger side of the car and the other end is combined with the injector harness.

Car is '84 -SE.

sorry for jacking this thread but i have a quick question. i have an 85 SE and just replaced the exhaust system with the RB street port exhaust. there was no provision for the O2 sensor so i took it off. will there be any adverse effects from not having an O2 sensor? again, sorry for asking an off topic question. thanks in advance...

Well, you'll get better mileage with it connected. I've got a cheapo A/F gauge and can watch the crossing counts as the car alternates between rich and lean under moderate load. Without the O2 sensor, it just stays rich.
