Question What's the best way to sell a nice SE?

I am new to using this site but I have had 7s for some time. I have been building up a T2 for about 5 years and I have owned an 84 GSL-SE for 11 years. I am getting ready to sell my SE and I was wondering what people think it is worth and how I should try an sell it.

84 GSL-SE, 97K miles, 5 spd, white with maroon leather interior, remarkable shape, runs great with no problems except ac needs recharge, only modifications are a full racing beat exhaust (no cat!) and a couple of stereo amplifiers. It only has one small spot of rust above the rear bumper. I have always stored it.

Any suggestions would be very helpful.
Chris

List it on Autotrader and on the for sale section of the forum.

Put it in classified ads too. Your car is worth enough that if you put a price in your ads only serious buyers should call.

I've seen immaculate SE's go on ebay for over $6,000 but that's pretty rare. You should easily get $4500-$5000 for it but it really depends on the market in your area.

There was a very sharp -SE that was, as I remember, basically stock and relatively low miliage (sub 90-120k), which just sold on eBay. It was in Barberton, Ohio (Akron area), and it went for around 3.1-3.2k. I'm pretty sure it was an '85, cloth interior.

put it on ebay with a low starting bid and a ludicrous reserve. when the auction ends and nobody hits your reserve, you'll know about how much it should sell for

I am not sure if I should admit this, but the car was traded for an all-trac turbo celica which has proved its worth in the winter up here but I still miss my SE.

I know this is a Rx-7 forum, but I would trade my 7 for a good all-trac celica myself. What year did you get?

Ya, GT-Fours are ****** sweet. Very rare. I'd prefer an ST165 personally, but the new cars are probably better at accepting modifications and whatnot. Mmm...if only they brought the ST205 here...

Its an 88 (st165) with 100k but nicely maintained. The seats aren't terribly comfortable but the car seats fit in the back. Power is good but its no fc, just too heavy. A 3 inch exhaust will help quite a bit I think. Kinda hard to justify too much money not going into my miata and fc. AWD is awesome on the snow, heater sucks especially in -20. Check out www.alltrac.net.
