2GCDFIS with TT board, paid for because I suck at soldering, Xbox is my proof! Welding = awesome / soldering = sucky! go figure

A header with a RB muffler. Got a SP, but still have stock manifold on there. Dumb, I know!

Taking off the bumpers and sanding them down and repainting them. Damn Bugs!!

And a little Idea that im coming up with to get more air flow to the rad. More details soon!

Hrm...

Street car, I need to swap in the S4 13B I have, tear out the stock engine harness, tear out the AC, get the megasquirt tuned, swap in my suspension parts, and various other little stuff. Oh, and make a dual belt alternator pulley.

The Prod car... ergh. Get new clutch plates for the QM clutch, swap to 2-piece front brake rotors, swap GSL-SE rear end in, rebuild and port the **** out of the GSL-SE 13B, port the **** out of the manifold, modify the front strut housings, rebuild the fuel system, hang the new bodywork (well, for that matter, *make* some of it) and fab ducting for the intake manifold, radiator and oil cooler. Plus add a lot of tubes to the cage.

... I know I'm forgetting stuff, but oh well.

I am afraid my entire winter will be occupied with the project recently described here:

https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/creative-use-gsl-se-oil-cooler-485065/

When that is finished, I will be putting my V8 powered RX-7 up for sale.

I hope I'm not running out of projects, it just looks lame compared to last years suspension upgrade and cooling system overhaiul.
Well, you can always come over to my house and help me.

In the meantime, here's one of my many random ideas:

most of my winter should be spent tending to my streetport 12A project. i haven't had much time to dedicate to it consistently, but considering that i no longer have an intake for my 13B, i'll need to finish this as soon as possible. all i have left are: flywheel, rotating assembly balancing, rotor bearings to put the motor together. afterwards, i need an oil pump, then it should be ready to go.

Well i'm getting Monroe shocks and struts put on next week and sence it is daily driver and they were at a discount price though the place i work i picked them up...

My main project this winter when i can get the stuff to do it is get the rust of of the body of the car... even if i just have to spray paint over the finish parts so that they don't rust again until i can get the paint job on the car... i really just need someone that knows body work to help me out so that i don't **** it up.

other than that breaks and tires are next on the list.

Getting my car to run like it is supposed to (actually better). I will hopfully be getting my friends old 12A from his 84-85, he dosnt know the year, and the car is in the shop so I cant read the VIN to see the year, so it should have less milage than my 82, or hopfully, and it also has an aftermarket exhaust with no cats, and the AC has been removed, as well as other little things done to it, so that should be good. I also hope to get a decent sound system, and a conversion to a different bolt pattern so I can get some new wheels, but that might not happen until later.

Well, my wife finally found a job, and will be starting after the new year. As such, I have put in my notice at my second/night job (phew) and will finally have a little time to devote to the mostly-halfway-decent project '82 GSL that's been sitting in my basement garage essentially untouched since about Halloween.

Here's the plan, in order of attack:
Tune-up, adjust timing and idle mixes, stick new plugs in
RB streetport exhaust ($$$!) so I can get it registered and drive it
A little surface rust repair/ replace header panel/ get at least primer on the spots
Auto trans coming out, 5spd going in.
Sterling carb
Decent repaint in silver, just so I don't have to pull motor/paint doorjambs, etc
Reupholster doorcards, maybe even get a stereo working in the thing.
New wheels and/or doing something fun with the stockers- maybe I'll paint them red or something.

I hope to be done with at least the first two or three of those (and hopefully the fourth...) by April so I can make it to ye olde taile of the dragon for the rotary rally then.
