What Are Your Experience With Jay-Cee Enterprises??

Wacky recommended that I send my Weber 48 IDA to Jay-Cee Enterprises http://www.jaycee-ent.com/ to get modified for my 1/2 bridge 12a. I was just curious what others thought of their work.

Thanks!

Ryan

Wacky is very knowledgable when it comes to carbs (and beer) especially Webers. I'd trust his opinion! Only problem is shipping it out to the West Coast! Damn! Did you search locally?

JC is the one of the old kings of Weber's...a VW guy for decades, and knows the in's and outs of the carbs and can modifiy them to do anything. I'm sure plenty of rotary IDA's have gone thru that place!

Latin is right tho...shipping costs. It won't be horrible...I'd bet $25 a way + insurance. Those carbs aren't that heavy. I would think a 2lb. box would do it. Just do some small bubble wrap, followed by some large, then some popcorn. Remove parts they won't need, like trumpets, linkage, venturies probably...

Jaycee Enterprises

JayCee is a very good reputable shop. You pay for what you get so good work will always cost you $$$. What exactly are you looking for? Parts? Tuning? Rebuild?

IDA is a one-time investment. There are cheaper ways as usual but ... (you decide)

Pm'ed you.

I plan on autocrossing the car and having it for a fun weekend blast down some side roads. So I would like to try to obtain the most hp out of the 1/2 bridge 12a. (I know webers are great for getting high-end power, where the bridgeport comes into play ).

I was going to have Jack at Jay-Cee Enterprises build me up a Weber 48 IDA, then modify the float bowls (make them bigger), put an extra progression hole (3), drill out the fuel inlet whole...etc. Basically the whole 9 yards to get optimal performance out of the carb and my 1/2 bridge.
