What year is an old-*** toyota corolla?
I am wondering exactly how old a old-*** corolla is. ie, the '84-up front-drive, the '84-up rear-drive or the older rwd models?

i have an 88 corolla fx,(would not get rid of it for anything, turned 200k miles last month and would drive it anywhere, its so dependable) enought of that, but, its front wheel drive, i think you can go to www.alldata.com and check the recalls section and it will tell you if its a fwd or rwd for each year, hope this helps....and by all means,,,,,buy the thing if the price is good,,,im the 7th owner of mine,,,i named her Annie (the orphan),,,,

Naw, I am good with my MAZDA's, I'll never have anything but MAZDA as a serious/non-serious car...
My dad has 1988 MX-6 NA that has 232+ thousand miles on it. Great car, still goes.
I had a 1983 GLC that recently turned 452,000 miles. That's a hell of a lot. And, it still fires right up everyday, with it's rebuild Nikki carb. Still driven everyday by my friend, and it's the original engine block. (dunno if anything else is orig) and it looks cool with the lowered, 15" mag wheeld stance, and blacked out trim.
There was a thread and someone said wheels from an "old-***" toyota corolla would fit an RX-7, and am wondering exactly what model I am looking for.
All Corollas were RWD until 1984, when the four-door and five-door models became FWD, and the SR5 3 and 2 door were RWD, until 1988 when all models became FWD.

I think you're talking about my response to the wheel thread.
I was talking about the older RWD ones.
Do I have evidence? I have hearsay. That's a kind of evidence.
Thus is to say, I have no clue. The only other thing I know is that they were supposed to be ugly, steel, 12 inch wheels.

Correct.
Good. The older ones that look like typical mid-70's Japanese cars (dinky little *****) or toyota-like ones? I am gonna try and see if a '84+ 13" mag wheel would fit [SR5]. hmm... SR5's look like baby celicas.
It's a pretty good evidence.

You could use em for drifting. If ya bend em up, it's no biggie.

BOOM!
The 4.5" by 4 and 4.5" by 5 lug patterns are common among other makes and models, unlike the 110 mm by 4 lug, to my knowledge used elsewhere only for very old Toyota Corollas with 12" wheels.

EX Pres of DFW Drunks
Define old Corollas... My roomate has an 86 GTS that runs 205/60-14 from the factory... I have not tried the bolt patterns yet, but discount tire doesn't have any wheels that say they will fit it, and tirerack only comes up with the Kosei K1's that fit the non-SE bolt pattern, so I'm betting that it is 4x110...
Might be a suggestion... And I'm prety sure he'll be parting it out in the next month or two...

that's nifty... Now if I ever screw up one of my wheels I can just steal one of my roomates Either that or I could put my race tires on his car (not sure why though...) Shortly we're going to have a hella stack of wheels..
2x 17
2x 18
8x 13
all race tires makes for quite a front wall of a garage.
