What year irons don't have a oil pressure sender/What is thread pitch of stock sender

What year irons don't have a oil pressure sender/What is thread pitch of stock sender

I was assembling my engine and noticed the irons I chose do not have provision for an oil pressure sender. Just curious what year irons these are.

I will just tap the rear banjo bolt to get my pressure reading I guess.

i believe 79 and older because 81+ are the only ones with oil psi gauge in cluster

Seriously? Can someone else confirm that.. If so I guess I'll order one from the UK.


Did a quick search and it looks correct, 1/8-28 BSPT or 1/8 PT

It's essentially a metric pipe thread. I do believe it's 28 but can't promise it. It's very close to a 1/8" NPT but not close enough for a good seal. Thread spacing is too different.
