I noticed today that the linkage was froze up on this valve, had to PB blast it to get it moving again...what do you think the symtoms would be if it was inoperable? just curious...and bored.

That's the shutter valve. If it did not shut off during deaccel it could cause higher Hc readings during emission testing. If the diaphram inside is leaking then you could get your poor idle because it would be a large vacuum leak.

 

wow I must of asked a good question because noone knows. I know 2 guys that would know...are you out there?
