what is the widest tire u can put on the mazda stock rx7 rim?

the widest street tire i've seen on that rim is 215/50, but they rub in the front ... but besides, that i would not recommend it just for safety reasons if your car is a daily driver (and especially if you're prone to a spirited romp once in a while 
)
the reason, i'd shy away from them is that the stock rim is only 5.5 inches wide and a 215/50 is going start distorting on it ... i even saw one get torn off the rim when this guy was doing donuts!!! - krayzee, eh?
i'd say 195-205 is probably as wide as you should go with a 60 aspect ratio (i don't know if they make them any lower than that)

they get the most praise,
look the best
and handle the best
for a cheap set go to the tire rack,
they carry the sumitomo
even with s&h its the cheapest solution
i ran the sumotomo's and loved them
they look great and i will buy another set soon,
only for a 15" rim this time
