It means your engine is blown(like a pop up thingy on a turkey). You should just pull the engine and ship it to me at your cost.

Seriously it just looks like a vac source to me.

I just looked at my IDA and it doesn't have one. It does look like a vac source though.

My IDA has the same thing, only done differently, and a good bit bigger. Mine is in the same spot, but looks even more make-shift. I always thought it was a nipple to be used in conjunction with a solid jet cover to pressurize the floatbowls for use with forced induction.

But the omp thing makes more sense. I bet it's a common racers trick from the generation of rotary guys who don't hang out online. Mine is from a previous rotary car too. I have always wondered what cool info and tricks we on the forums miss out on from the older generations of rotary guys who don't use the net, ha ha

with J's set-up, the nipple appears to be uncut. For people who uses an air cleaner, it needs to be shortened as it wont clear the air cleaner's lower plate. When I switched to an IDA, I installed 2 shortened fittings on the carb cover but I moved them to the fuel bowl for a cleaner install.
