What to torque wheel studs to when changing to lugnuts?

I have a 5/32 hex socket to drive my 12x1.5mm studs, but can't find a good torque spec for them. I've had studs thread their way out twice now and will be using red Loctite, but wanted a good torque number for reference. Any ideas? What are lugnuts typically torqued to?

Is that the published GSL-SE lug nut torque, or the 12A lugbolt torque?

Cover the threads liberally with Red Loctite then torque them to 80 ft/lbs. I have uses a few drops on those threads and they backed out. Have a blown tire and bent fender to show for it when the wheel came off.

not published at all, it's what my dad has always used on all of his cars (240Z finatic) and is what i've always used, and is a good all around number when you don't have the published numbers

The '85 FSM lists the tightening torque for the lug nuts to be between 65 and 87 ft-lbs. So a torque of 80 - 85 ft-lbs should be a good number to tighten them to.

Yeah, we use 80 ft lbs on the E36 M3 Grand Am Cup race car with RX-7 studs (longer). On the street, I personally torque to the German standard "gütentite". Never had a problem in all these years of cross country adventures and such.
