what spark plugs to use
Hi, great newsgroup.
I have a 1984 RX-7.
I am having trouble with emissions.
Can't get it to pass inspection here in the Fort Worth area.
I was told to replace sparkplugs but it seems no one has hot sparkplugs that I need. Cold or standard sparkplugs are not appropriate for the type of driving I use car for. So I prefer hot sparkplugs.
One additional problem is that I do not know how to determine if my engine is 1.1 or 1.3 L.
That is the first thing autoparts store asks and
I cannot give them a definitive answer to that.
Anyone here have any suggestions how to find out if engine is 1.1 or 1.3?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks David

Welcome to the forum!
If your car has a carb it's a 1.1 (12a engine), if it's fuel injected it's a 1.3 (13b engine).
