What Should I do to my Car??
OK well im tranforming a mechanicly sound beater 82 rx7 into a oval racer......my budget is EXTREMELY low.....i only want mods that can be dont for free or EXTREMELY cheap.....there is a management claim fee so i dont want to put too much money into it.....i will be stripping the interior and windows putting in a roll cage. Im limited by the rules also heres some major ones
Any 4-cylinder car(including rx-7) with a maximum wheelbase of 103” and a complete stock Steel body, interior, frame and suspension. NO bracing anywhere except inside the drivers compartment.
Dashboard, Interior, Steering, and Pedals must remain completely stock for make and model of car.
Stock carburetor or fuel injection for that make and model.
Stock Exhaust system for that make and model. MUFFLERS MANDATORY.
Stock unaltered rear end for that make and model.
So what can i do adjusting wise for my car or removals or aditions to make it fast with handling?

You MIGHT be able to get away with a sterling carb setup under those guidelines, do a search on the forums im sure there is something.
You could do a cold air intake i think. Remove emissions perhaps. Electric fan, battery relocation, take out power steering, air conditioner, sub zero fluid tank, washer fluid tank, rx-7carl's horn intake upgrade, (a recent thread about that one).
You need to be a bit more specific on the suspension rules.
Stock suspension, does that mean you can upgrade the springs and struts and swaybars? or does that mean it has to be OEM of all of those?
If you can upgrade, go racing beat swaybars (at least front), polygraphite bushings by PST i think, performance struts, and you have a choice of Racing Beat, Eibach, Suspension techniques, etc, for the springs.
You may also wish to look into an ignition system called DLIDFIS (Dual Leading Ignitor, Direct Fire Ignition System). Do a search, tons of threads on that..
Good luck man!
