What shocks/ struts???

I have tried KYB's on an Audi 4000, and they are harsh.Very stiff , and unforgiving.
Most of my other cars are on Bilstiens, but I don't find them for our cars.
How are Tokicos?Has anyone had KYBs, and Tokicos on the same car, at different times?Do Tokicos have a better ride?
Are Bilstiens available for a 1982 RX7 GSL?
Thanks for your experienced input. Mark

tokico illuminas are adjustable and probably the best shock struts you can buy for our cars

Tokico Blues: Fairly sporty, non-adjustable shock
Tokico Illuminas: Sporty to comfortable depending on setting. 5 settings to choose from. Very nice shock because you can set it hard for rough housing, and set it soft for a long comfortable ride somewhere.

I have the Blues and before winter set in I took a trip from southern Ontario through the states up to Manitoba. I was really wishing I had the Illuminas so I could soften it up a notch. 20 hours straight in the car and I was sore and beaten. I take trips of that nature usually once a year, but if your only using the car for city driving and some fun then the Blues are fine. I'm still not going to change them out, But I'm sure after the next trip I'll be wishing I had.

I have the blues. They are a bit stiff, mixed with RB springs, but still manageable. The stiffness is a good trade off for the increased handling.
