Thats the preheater hose that goes to the bottom of the stock air cleaner to supply hot air to the carb for warm up purposes.

Scrounge up about $7 and head to your local auto parts store, with that hose, and match them up.

My car didn't have the Carburetor stove(header heat shield). I just used supplies I had in my garage. I took a 2" OD piece of exhaust pipe, cut it at a 45 degree tapered end. Drilled a hole through the pipe, about 1/2" before taper in center. Then hooked a U bolt(exhaust clamp) through the holes. Cut the pipe about 6" long. Then slid a hi temp flex radiator hose (the kind with the spring inside). Then sized it up to the air box inlet, and then tightened up the u-bolt exhaust clamp around the headerpipe, so the 45 degree angle conforms to the header leaving slight gaps. I used hose clamps to tighten the flex hose to the airbox and clamped pipe.

The rubber is about 5 inches from the area the pipe is clamped to the header. This is allowing for much faster start ups, and now I don't have to warm up long.

Has anyone done this before, and can some recommend a place to get a replacement
