What model first gen do you have?

Okay, bouncing off of a former post which people decided not to keep track of, we'll keep count here. What year and model (sorry, maximum anumber of polls disallows me from listing EVERY model, so it'll just be between a 12a and 13b models, but all years. have fun, i'm curious to see where this goes.

My first RX-7 was an '85 GSL, now i have an '84 GSL.

When I started looking for my 2nd RX7 I intended on finding an -SE but I found the '84 and between the price and the shape I went with it.

All i can say is you gotta love these cars.

I would drive mine every day if I did not drive 120 Miles every day. Its not the reliability factor it is the fact that I don't want to put 600 miles a week on my FB.

I drive it after work and on weekends

79 GS, 83 S, and 85 GS

The 79 and 83 are dead, though. For that matter, the 85 is too, but it's being rebuilt.

Well my 85 is stripped down to not very much of anything right now. so, I guess one less 85 on the road.

i just had a bright idea... the next poll i'll post is one of how many rx7's you currently own... then i can compare that to what years we have, and that will give a good statistical breakdown, of course after comparing after average lifespan of our vehicles, numbers originally sold... it'll be an interesting breakdown... time to break out the old stat book.

I own a silver 1978 GS Mazda RX-7, I know what you guys are saying bull **** right! well it doesn't have a right side mirror and the hood proping rod is on the right side it has the custom mag wheels of the '79-80 model, it has the anti sway bar that was an option on that model plus a Roof hatch. I am proud of my '78 pulled it from the junk yard and started the restoration on it. When I can get hold of a scanner I will scan some pictures of it in here for us rotary enthusist guys and girls.

It was made July 1978 :-)

I also own a red 1985 GSL-SE RX-7, I am looking for a glass roof hatch though.

Thats it for me, not really interested in the 2nd generation or 3rd generation RX-7's. But if you ask me, the first generation was the best that mazda ever put out. :-) First Gen Pride over here!

These are my opinions, if you wan't to critisize, please be constructive about it, as I would be to you.

it's a 78 on the sticker on the door, model year 79. mine has a right side mirror but the hood prop is on the right side. here's a little fun fact, take a look at your coin holders near the shifter. they weren't made to fit american coins. when you're tlaking about those mags, you mean the waffle wheels, right? you really want to find something rare, try finding 79 limited edition rims like what's on my car.
plus, all those are options that were pretty standard.
you got a back seat? no? i do.

hahah!

welcome to the forum, btw
