What kind of oil is everyone using in their LSDs?

I just want to get an idea of what everyone is using. I'm getting ready to fill mine up, and didn't know what you all recommend. I thought about going with some Mobil 1 75W90 but didn't know if it was safe for LSDs. This is the first LSD I have ever owned, so I want to make sure I'm treating it properly. I also considered some Redline gear oil, with the redline LSD additive.

Anyway, post what you're using!

Royal Purple and it has the LSD additive in it.

Can't go wrong with Redline Heavy Shockproof or Amsoil.

Mobil1 will be fine, does it include the additive if not just buy it at a ford or gm dealer.

I use that Mobil 1 you mentioned it works fine. I once used it without the additive that also works fine At least for me it was fine.

I used Mobil1 Synthetic 75W-90, it's LSD compatible. I used it in my manual trans as well, the car now shifts smooth as butter.

I am an Amsoil dealer, I really need to start switching all my vehicles over to Amsoil.... so it's been a good run w/ Mobil1 oil and other lubes, but it's time to reign in the Amsoil.

Another AMSoil here too ... I use it both in the rear end and the tranny. Might as well do both while you're down there.

Amsoil synthetic, nowadays.
I ran Redline shockproof for years with no problems either.I did manage to break one of my driven LSD discs, but I think that was a product of too much power, not oil failure. You pretty much cant go wrong with most synthetic oils these days, they are all vastly better than the stuff our cars had in them 20 years ago.
And nearly all of them have the LSD additives too, unless they are specifically made NOT to have them.LSD's are so much more common these days, its makes more sense to just have the stuff in everything, rather than have it be an "extra" add-on.

Thanks for all the input guys! I think I'm going to go with Mobil 1 for now. It is easy for me to get at Autozone, and I've used it before with pretty good results. Plus if I can buy it locally, then that saves me the shipping costs.
