What kind of exhausts do you use?

What kind of exhaust do you use on you 1st gen. and how loud is it?
I am currently switching my racecar back to a street car, and am using a RB 2 pipe header straight back to a dynomax muffler. which is way to loud.

If your exhaust has the dual pipes that don't collect until near the rear axle, run 2 presilencers. If it collects right after the header, then you need 1 really good one. You can use the RB pre-silencers or many are opting for the Borla XS/XR series of mufflers due to better pricing.

Are you using the rb presilencer and the borla xs/xr or just the muffler?

I made my own exhaust system out of 3" pipe for a future turbo upgrade with 2 Magnaflows. Way, way too loud. When the TII goes in, the mid-muffler will be replaced with a Borla, rear muffler may get changed too if it's still too loud. Live and learn from mistake and being cheap, lol. EBay is the best source for Borlas.

I dont have the dual header, but this video show's a RB streetable header with the RB Catalytic Converter-Delete Pipe with a 14" presilencer to Magnaflow Muffler.

I love this set up because daily driving (up to 3-4k) it isn't to loud, but if you want to open it up it screams for you...

Mine is a custom one that I bought that is header - dual 2" straight pipes all the way back to a Monza muffler.

I don't recommend this set up bah!

Maybe with two pre-silencers it would be a little more...refined.

Rotary Engineering tuned exhaust (headers, two torpedoe silencers and the RE muffler). Sounds great but not too loud. I got this back in 1991! lol. Its still on the car and still holding up well.

I so wanted to tell him to buy better windows, lol. Too loud means people sitting on the front porch when I drive by at 30 in a 25 mph zone call the cops cause they think I'm doing 60, no ****, that really happened. Cop was cool about it though. It also means I can't open it up to 7-8k cause it can be heard for well over 1/2 mile away.

I cut my muffler off...My old one was stock and sounded like a tin can...now it sounds like it has a lot more power than it really does and is quite loud. However I got pulled over for not using my turn signal but he never said anything about it being to loud...maybe he was nice. I do was a racing beat dual silencer exhaust though...
