What is going on???

Here is the story, so bare with me. Took my 85 GS to the shop to have the mechanical water temp and oil pressure gages installed, put a new starter on and fix the oil leak around the cooler. During a stop by and see how things are going visit I was shocked when I saw the raditor and the front part of the engine bay removed. The water temp connection was being installed in the front engine cover below the thermostat drilled and tapped and the firewall penetration was on the passenger side. The oil connection was being installed in the banjo bolt and the oil line was run through the rubber boot for the wiring harness on the driver's side. Picked up the car the next day and I must say it looks nice, very neat. During my drive home the gages work great and the car run great as always. But about a half hour later, I took thr car out for a spin and after it got up to temp the idle would not go below 2100 rpms and was fairly rough, like the choke was on. Took the car back to get it checked out. They have had it for a week and as of today have not found the problem. The complete emmissions systems, controls are being checked. The shop is really good and has always done good work and they are familiar with rotarys. Just wondering if the bad running is coincidental or if thay might have screwed something up. Thw mileage just turned 300,000 miles on original engine. Any thoughts.

Thanks.

This is second same post as I put it in 2nd gen first try

Does the choke **** return back after it warms up? Also they possibly knocked off a vacuum hose.
