An old brand of universal fuel pump, looks to be a solenoid pump. The other is like a roll-over valve or something. My car had one pre-bridgey fuel system. I removed it, never heard of it being used before.

Do you think I should order a new fuel pump. This one It has gas coming from it, but it feels like its not pumping enough. Bowls are filling up however when I start to hit the gas it feels like it empties it to fast. I remember on my old Rx-7 that the fuel filter looked more full in the engine bay. This one however looks as if its just trickling into the fuel filter. It'll start strong and slowly go weak. The vent is actually hooked up to that solenoid Didnt have a gas tank when I bought it -_-

That's a facet fuel pump. RB sold and/or still sells these. They really are too small for any rotary. But 20 (30) years ago, there were not as many choices so you found these on everything. I still am finding them and change them whenever I do.

Starting out with decent pressure, then dropping off is pretty common with these, particularly in a return-less fuel system. As they get warm, the PSI will drop. They get warmer, faster, when run without any type of return line, due to less flow thru them. The fuel flowing thru is what helps keep them from getting too warm.

I agree with Jeff. Too small for feeding a Rotary, especially one that is driven beyond the "granny" stage.......

Airtex External Electric Fuel Pumps 110-E8012S - SummitRacing.com

Used this one until I switched to the holley. Mounts very cleanly near the fuel tank, looks stock and mine ran perfectly for over 10 years. I think it probably couldve fed the holley just fine, but I got a smoking deal on a holley blue.

They still suck. I got one from RB that failed after a few minutes. This was back in the late 90s. After that I was done with Facet.

I had the same experience as Jeff20B. I think they also sold under the Purolator brand, sometimes packaged with a fuel pressure regulator that was as bad as the pump.

Srsly try that little solenoid pump. I can dig mine up out of the parts shed and dust it off if you want lol. I'm 100% certain that little bugger still pumps, even 14 years after I bought it.

I had one of those pressure regulators. It spewed fuel all over my freshly painted engine. I'm sure PercentSevenC remembers that (rotary baja). He was helping me get it running and saw first hand what poor quality parts can do.

So the 9psi wont flood the bowls? Serious question I don't know. I don't have a regulator.

9psi will, so get a decent regulator. The Mallory 4309 is great but costly. The Holley is cheap and works well enough for me.

I'll do that. Rear ends, transmissions, everything else on a car I have a good idea. Carbs -__- im ashamed to say I was born in 1990. I have an ok idea having worked on them(watched) when I was young but it's all a fog. Luckily im learning again.

Yeah, the little holleys are cheap and can be rebuilt for under 10 bucks. Theres a few different kinds out there, you should try to locate a bypass regulator to use the stock bypass lines on the car. UNLESS your nikki still has the bypass built in. Then you could go with a dead-dead regulator.

Theres some of your choices, but I ran a 803BP with my nikki@4 psi
