I need to get a guage for my holley FPR. I am running it to a carb for I just need a low PSI rating one. I was wondering what ones are good, and which ones are POS's.

I had to special order those badboys. I really dont like all the fittings, It killed me to have this on for my brake booster!

 

Advance sells a Holloy 1-4 PSI for like 25 bucks. You might want to look into that one.

I couldn't agree more with you about that damn 0-15 psi summit gauge. Does yours also read zero after like 3-4 minutes? POS....

Anyways, I know that YAW had a 0-5 psi professional gauge that he was selling. But this gauge was more expensive (like 50-60 bucks) and you only put it in while you were tuning the fuel pressure.

Good luck, and im REALLY interested to see if there is a better 0-5 psi gauge out there that I don't know about!

Look at the Spes on the P-734! Its made by US guages. I am going to give the local Lousinana office a call tomorrow.

 

Looks good, see if it is suitable for fuel. Im waiting for a supplier to call me back on this. Their company supplies and calibrates all the gauges at our airline. If we can strike a deal then I would be able to supply a quality gauge. Yaw used to sell them, not sure if he still does or not.

 

What should I do until then. I am driving a FD, but I want to drive my FB!!

 

You can still drive the FB. Be sure to turn it down all the way, then work from there. Be sure to check the FPR worksheet as I cant remember if allen plug down is low pressure or the other way around....Except you didnt mention what fuel pump you're using.

also, there is nothing wrong with using 0-15 psi. whoever said they suck dont know crap about tuning.

 

Down is lower pressure (more pressure on the spring for the fuel to overcome).

If you can read the lines good yes, but most of those 0-15 psi gauges are crap and unreliable.

i use a holley 0-6psi, pretty common at autoparts stores and cost next to nothing. works fine for me.

I remember running across guages quite a while back on the McMaster-Carr website. Don't remember the prices, but they had nearly any guage you would want with different percentages of guaranteed calibration.

 

Yea I looked there, but they arent certified for gasoline/chemicals.

 

I have sent an email to the company, I am hoping to hear back monday. I think for right now I might just go with a 1-15 PSI holley gauge from summit.

And Paradox, why you leaving us hangin man tell us the part number on the gauge. I went the all the auto places they looked at me like a cow at a new gate!!

We ordered the Sterling carb from Rx7carl.
We ordered the full RB exhaust system.
We ordered the Carter 7 lb pump.
We ordered the Holley 1-4 psi regulator.

And I want to order a 0-5 psi fuel pressure gauge.

I don't want this to be the "weakest link", so I want the right one.

Sorry I have no info on anything, I have been super busy putting in 50+ hour weeks at work. I havent had the time to follow up on this Gauge.

I em-mailed the companys but I never heard a response. I will try again, and maybe call this time. I will let you know, when I know.
