What does this button do? (kaboom)

To the left of my steering column is a roller switch for dimming my dash lights @ night - but inboard of that is an indentation in the dash that on my car has a small silver lock similar to that on a home safe. The prson who sold me the car had no idea what the lock did or why it was there.

In all the interior pics of GSL-SEs I see there's supposed to be a switch there instead. What for?

On Regular (Non-SE's) that's where the choke **** would be. On GSL-SE's its a blank plate. Many alarm installers use it for Alarm purposes, usually LED's.
