What do you need for an Auto to Manual Transmission Swap

I have a spare complete car with a manual transmission and i was thinking of swapping over the trany to my auto car. Im only doing this because the Torque Converter is gone and i have a cracked flywheel. What parts do i need to do the swap. A list would be great.

Pedal set, tranny, clutch, driveshaft, clutch hydraulics and tranny mounts.

What is cracked? Manuals have flywheels, autos have flex plates.

Only if you go with a light weight flywheel. Counterweight is built into the stock one. You may need the wire harness off of the manual tranny too.

-Pedal Assembly (can get by with using just the clutch and brake pedal)
-Driveshaft (I believe you only need one if you have the O/D auto driveshaft)
-Flexible hydraulic line (best to buy new)
-Hard hydraulic line (from master cylinder to flex line)
-Firewall retainer for hydraulic line(not really necessary, but if you want a clean install)
-Master Cylinder (buy new)
-Slave Cylinder (buy new)
-Release Fork
-Shift boot and other misc. hardware that goes there (metal trim, rubber insulation boot)
-Starter (manual ones are diff)
-Transmission
-Shifter assembly and ****
-Manual tranny wiring harness (not crucial, I didnt use one, but helps with reverse lights)
- Pressure plate
- Manual flywheel (lightweight flywheel will use the counterweight thats on your flexplate)
-Crossmember to mount tranny
- Flywheel inspection plate (on top of the engine by the tranny
- Clutch Disc
- Pilot bearing (buy new)
- Pilot bearing seal (new)
-Throwout bearing

If you have an 84-85 and were blessed/cursed with overdrive, you need to fabricate a 4" bracket to mount the tranny. This was due to the autos being 4" longer.

As a side note, if you wish to keep the auto, the torque converter can be rebuilt and another flex plate sourced.

Thanks this was all the info i need.

i know it was a great way to rep eh?

Im also getting a sticker made saying BC Rotary made for my car. 10 bucks. and its going to go all the way along the back of the hatch.

Now i have a question, how much is a slave cylinder?

And when installing the driveshaft, do i have to hook it up to the transmission, then slide it onto the differential? Im meaning, to do this while the trany isnt bolted to the mounts yet so that you can slide it back and forth?

A slave cylinder shouldnt set you back too much, I think I picked up one from Partsource for under 50 bucks.

As for the driveshaft, slide it onto the transmission, then bolt it on to the differential.
