Out of many things i like about my 7, i'll have to say that it's the ONLY rx7 in san diego that looks like it does. No matter where i drive it people always check it out and it's fun to drive not to mention for 100 horse power it gets up too.

I agree with many here, In all honesty i didn't care for it til i drove It.

Drive and handleing____as if it were on rails'______perfectly balanced

Power_______I am a firm believer thats there's "NO RPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT" except when speaking of rotory'
AS far as the power on the highway^^^^my turbo gives me all i need and some!!!

And the forum, and I attribute the strenght of this forum to the rotory motor itself!!!!!

I love how it fits me perfectly, I love the handling, and I love the way the car looks when you walk up from behind. All crouched, ready for action.

And the simplicity is just a bonus.

 

mine runs better then any 20+ yr old car I've ever owned..and it's easier to maintain

the mystique of it....who ever thought a 20 year old car could look so good and better than many cars out now...i get looks all the time, and when people know what your driving they cant help but say hi or something cuz they know how rare it is.... i dont like when rx owners are jerks though, i honked hello at a nice red fb going the opposite way of me one day and he flicked me off(im pretty sure he did) and other stuff like that...i always thought we would all be like unofficial club members and be especially friendly to one another....oh well.....fb's rule(period)

 

i love going to autozone and putting the workers to shame as they try to babble about what little rotary knowledge they have. Hell, most always ask "How many cylinders does it have" LOL! Nothing like replying "None" and watch the stupid look they give you and it baffles their little mind when you try to explain.

Best description ever, kuddos.

 

I like -

- That it is easy to work on. The simplicity thing.
- It is rear wheel drive as all sports cars should be.
- The styling is timeless. I look at the other mainstream cars of that era, and there are very few that still look good.
- All the controls fall to hand. I don't have to think about where things are.
- With careful shopping, parts are inexpensive. Some of my buys include F&R Susp Tech bars for $75 shipped, a Racing Beat street port exhaust with header for $200, and a nice set of Epsilon rims for $200.

I don't like -

- 4x110mm wheel bolt pattern. I know it can be changed, but...
- Slow steering ratio
- No cup holders. Just need one for my morning drive.
- The car is 20+ years old. Even a well maintained car develops issues. For example, I am chasing down a dome light issue right now.

I anticipate the one I have now I will have for a long time.

 

Its the only car I own thats paid for !

 

Classic looks is near the top, but what I like best is the way it handles at the limit. Plenty of cars may out-corner it, but few cars are more fun and predictable when you cross the edge of tire adhesion.

its so simple is the main reason i like it, its a cheap rwd car that when i look under the hood im not intimidated by anything, plus parts are so damn cheap.

 

since the time my father has taken it off the lot with 3miles on the odo and the many great and bad memories we shared with the rx7... i just love it all. period.
