Maybe if you guys say you like one better because of more power or something, maybe that is what he was going for. Some people prefer one engine over the other.

I like the 13B a lot more than the 12A. The little bit of extra torque afforded by the wider rotors really goes a long way in a rotary.

I say, buy whatever fits your budget. IF not, start and savings plan AND make a plan of attack, meaning do it right.

Ive had lots of different engines and different setups in my car,and while I enjoyed flogging the 12A(which never complained I might add)...I still like the grunt of the 13B more.It has more usable power, but still goes freely to redline.A light flywheel will make a 13B responsive like a 12A,but youll still get that improved torque curve.

Either one are extremely potent motors. Either one has tons of modifications, but if you are going to go either TII engine or 12at, you'll have a lot more people here to help you out with any problems going the route of TII.

Ok lets calm it down here kiddies!

Wacky: I think you are correct in what you are saying, But I think what nick is asking is what engine do people like. Kinda like whats your favorite soda. The way you are taking it is, hes asking for are opinion on which engine to use. Like so many people do here on the fourm.

Nick: You could have been a little bit nicer in the way that you explained this to wacky instead of just shootin the finger smiliey! but oh well

Now that I have kept the peace, I am off to jug nyquil and pass out playing halo! Sniff! Cough! Im dying! Sniff!

If you said that it would be nonsense. the only difference is the width of the rotor.

What I think is confusing you is the complexlety of efi v carb and NA v turbo in the search for ever increasing power. Both 12A and 13B engines were improved over their production period. When both were being produced, the 4p 13B would have been my choice as to the best rotary available.

Having owned a 12A and 13B, I prefer the 13B. A nice broad, flat torque band makes a big difference.
