Alsodoes anyone know who did the 6 port bridge and what were the results?
Would I be better just street porting the endplated, and half bridging the intermediate housing?

A 6port bridge needs a TON of gas to run the way it should. What kinda carb are you gonna be using? I havent owned one myself but a friend of mine had one and it was ok i guess. The bottom end speed REALLY REALLY sucked (unless you launced it like a madman), but once those rpms got up there they really got up there and it never stopped pulling. It was a really fun car IMO but i think that i would just go w/ a halfbridge on the 6port. youll get a little better low end and itll still be fast. My first RX2 had a stock SE 6port w/ just headers and a Mikuni carb. i loved it!! i was able to beat my friends full bridge 6port 13b. i dunno, maybe it was just the driver, and the tuner. good luck.

We'll either way it's going to be a half bridge, just figuring where to put the bridge near the 5&6 ports or in the intermediate housing...

i dont really know the difference between them but my dad has been building these things for 30 years and hes always built 1/2 bridges by cutting the 5&6 ports.

what about this/ This is the first I've ever seen this it almost looks like you could take a drill and do it with the engine instlled, just take off the intake manifold and drill away. LOL Anyone ever seen this? Whats it called? If it doesn't have a name I coin the Cheater Port. Its the Cheater port.

Cheater Port!!!

thats it TJ!
We call it a hole BP over here.

The one in the pic wanst done too good! They actually work quite well.Little less hp that a BP,(Depending on size of the holes) but it does get a little better consumption, and is more street orientated(sp?).Most people hate them though, say it`s a waste of time...Then you drive one :-)

That 3B front plate has been modded to show what's legal for porting in a certain race class and what's not. I think a Racing Beat or a Mazdatrix person posted that picture on some other forum last month. The holes only show where the seals ride.

If you're interested in bridge ports, you should check out the nopistons forum. A few over there have messed with them.

True, but it is an excuse to go buy a brand new 24v cordless drill, a good set of bits, and start gnawing away at an expensive engine.

You'd be better off doing a large streetport. Messing with porting on the other side of the corner seal just eats up gasoline and low rpm BOG which is what you spend most of the time @ on the street. That cheater port looks like ****.

SP + turbo will get you more usable power and better gas mileage.
