Are those scoop designs on the hood? Or just doodles?

the doodles on the hood were done by a buddy wrather mentor, body man, taught me evry thing i know, basicly, i could make ur 7 look like a diablo if i wanter, not a bad idea, i just dont like the mr style, more of a fr, now if they made an awd with 2 renisis motors driving each axle i think i would sell my house for that, just kidding but that right there would be pretty badd ***

Ugh, the characteristics of an FB are lent to it's FR design. When you completely change the way the car drives, or totally 'remodify' how it looks, that's just shameful.

ya but its cool, comon, if u sow a kit for the fb that makes it look like a 3rd gen with a vielside or blitz r u saying u wouldnt even be intreaged, i got into the car mainly cause of the motor, and stuck with it because of its potential, including looks, sorry i belive that a car should look as good as it runs and my runs great at least it did some props just acorrd but all minor, plz dont under estimate the kit just yet still need to put up new pics.

Well, if I found a kit that made my car look like a third gen. . . .

I'd laugh and walk away.

A car is designed how it is. Completely changing that, as said above, is just wrong.

Dont' get me wrong, bro. I'm not trying to harsh your vibe or anything. Just not my thing. It's sort of like slapping "GT" badges all over you Mustang six, and adding a flowmaster and a wing.

You aren't making it into a GT. You're just running away from what it really is.

see, i know that the fd is really quick but for the money u spend to buy an fd u can buy an fb make it run 13's and look nice, not trying to insult the car, just complement its speed with newer arrowdynamics, and some style, after all, thats pretty much what mariah dose i just took it a steep further, and as far as curvs and things like that, i guess i can spill the beans, just plz if u do it b4 me plz share pics, i plan to reshape the roof the same as the 3rd gen, use the doorskins out of the 92 mr2 to add curvs to the doors, and 3rd gen flats to replaice the lights, i belive this will kinda bring the best of bothworlds when i install the 12a turbo jdm, that i managed to picup for 1200 rebuilt with rb internals, and a larger port for intake, this motor was made for our car just not sold in our country and i think that if this car could talk it would say make me look as good as i feel.

www.cpracing.com has the 'flat' your looking for (if you're referring to fixed headlights).

Actually, except for those of us that ARE the rich daddy, most of us are in the same boat as you, bro. Hell, I'm working my *** off to get my car RUNNING again. (after I tore it apart )

I'm buying my first SE, though, and THAT one runs. Till then, I'm just here, keeping faith in the original body design (although a good IMSA kit wouldn't look bad, but I think Mazda offered that as a factory option )

now that id like to see, as a referance, so that i may itagrate somthing, to give tribute to the only car company with enough faith in the motor to produce more than a few gens of rotory engines, hell did u know that chevywas producing one for there vet in the mid 80s i belive, since one beat there 350 small block fresh from factory i asume, yep but abandoned it due to lac of , for lac of a better word, faith. i use the theoredical infinate rpm to help convince non belivers, obviously this engine cant spin that fast ...yet, but i have faith that some day if people stay faithfull to the car , itll come damn close. till then, 235hp aint bad for a non asperated engine that revs out to 8 grand stock or was it 9 not sure, but would love to get my hands on one of them renisis just to slap a sequental turbo on it, see what it pulls then

Actually, as I understand it, Chevy ditched the rotary 'Vette because they tried using only heavy iron materials in the motor (Trying to make it bullteproof, like they're "rebuild them every week" 350, I suppose?)

I thought the fuel crises of the '70s killed domestic rotary R&D.

Anyhoo, sort've off-topic, but I was wondering why all aftermarket front-ends sweep forward. The stock front-end sweeps back, giving the 1st gen a distinctive bullet shape, and I wish there would be some effort put in to modifications that keep that shape instead of trying to look like some sort of generic Fast and the Furious mish-mash.

Just an opinion.

I thought that was the reason that 1st gens tend to lift slightly at high speeds causing the all too well known "floaty steering"

That may be, but does that mean all skirted 7s have to look like snowplows?

IMO, the design just looks a little too "GSR", it would look fine on any honda or acura. Most try to keep vehicle weight to a minimum....and bondo isn't light, but could just be a skimed layer to smooth the lines, or maybe you're packing more than my stock 12a I just have the racecar mentality - function over form. I do like your creativity though....keep them juices flowin' - you are definately going to end up with a unique ride.
