I'm gonna have my 7 eventually painted black. I kind of want the engine bay painted black as well. It's currently a cream color. I see a ton of you have made both body and engine improvements. Through your experience, would you recomend waiting on the body work till all the engine mods are done, or should I go ahead and have the body work done first?

What do the ricers do first? Add a fart cannon, a "cold air" "intake", rims, and a body kit.
I always say, you gotta go before you show.

Depending on how crazy you want to get with paint, like doing a "complete" color change, do that first. Of course, if you do the paint first, you can scratch it when you're working in the 'bay.

I'm a big fan of the Millenium Falcon school of thought.

'She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts.'

By all means, make the car go fast and turn sharp before you deal with the paint/body.

I think I'll compromise and take Wackyracer's advice. I'll paint the bay. Then I'll make her "GO". Then I'll make her a looker.

Kind of like Anna Nicole Smith. When she was chunky she still "had it where it counts". Now she's a looker all over again, but all the alchol she drinks makes her high octane!
