I went to the junk yard to pick up a newer right front suspension (Strut assembly, suspension arm, spindle...) for one of my cars. So I found a car and got to work, there was no hub/rotor, but mine was okay.
I got back to the shop and when I went to install my hub/rotor on the spindle, it didn't fit! I know the 79-80s had different spindles, but this was an 81- on car

So what happend?

 

'84-85 FBs have different spindles to accomodate the better bearings .

 

Ya, my car is an '84 GSL, so I guess the junk car was an 81-83. Damn.

 

Hey Duck,
They have an '85 and an '84 there but the '85 has
no passenger side suspention.
I got the exsaust off of the '85 cheapo dynomax muffler but otherwise great shape.

man...I wish there was a junk yard near me that had the pass side suspention for a -se. My spindle is bent and the local Rx-7 guy here wants $75 for just the damn spindle!

 

No SEs at the junk yard.
