Hey guys,

Who made the stock carb on the '85 GS? I'm needing to do a rebuild and know absolutely nothing about it. I can get the rebuild kit from Victoria British, but I'm thinking I could use a good set of instructions. Any suggestions?

It's a Nikki...definitely use the search button on the bottom right side of the previous screen on this one...volumes have been threaded about the subject! Mean ol' FD'er...

I'm going to have to change my user name as I wrecked and sold my FD. I'm back to my roots with just my beloved '85 GS.

 

They are Nikki Carbs. They are complicated and heavy. I bought a kit from VB just for the base gaskets and they worked fine.
