Unhappy SE selling on ebay this week

In case you guys haven't seen it yet I have my 84 se going on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ndexURL=0&rd=1

I guess it'll go pretty cheap. I hate to sell but it is helping me recreate myself finacially for the goals I have set for this year.
I'll also be putting up several issues of rotary rocket from the early 80s when I get time, check the "other auctions" button.

Beautiful SE.

I am sorry to hear you're selling it. Are you *absolutely sure* you don't want to keep it?

It's obvious that you do appreciate it. I'd hate to see it torn apart by someone who does not appreciate it's true value.

True Value = Much More than the Kelly Blue Book says for the RX-7 aficionados.

Thanks, it is really a great car, but I do have whole life priorities in correct line for me. I won't leave the rotory world, just step back for a minute.
It is interesting that all three bids have been by the same bidder. I guess he keeps looking and upping his maximum.
There is a guy coming this weekend for a test drive who has 2 non-se first gens and wants an se, so maybe it will find a good home if he likes it and bids.

I'm glad I live where cars aren't subject to hail damage. I would cry like a baby if that happened to mine.

I was definitely upset that after 18 years this had to happen, but really I think the right guy could pop most of them and the white paint makes you look for hem unless the sun is just right. It was on the return leg of a trip to Tn. that this happened and things happened so fast on the highway there was no way to get more than the front part of the hood under cover.
I guess if I were still a pup I'd just drive it while I fixed it, but life seems to change the way you approach things as you get older.

Unfortunately I am not so luckly. 2001 really sucked for my 85 GSL. April 2001, I drove around a corner and a deer tried to get infront of me only to have its neck broken by my driverside mirror!...and some other driveside damage but not too bad. I cursed at it and even kicked the deer repeatly but it didn't make my car better. It was in the evening just after dark.

By late june the car was to be fixed. The morning I was to drop it off at the body shop, it was 5am and started hailing VERY LARGE HAIL. I have very large dimples but luckly no windows chattered, but the neighbors and others on the road at the time were NOT so luckly. Our whole town was screwed up. I collected some of the hail stones afterwards, some were the size of baseballs or small softballs!!!!!!!!!! I kept some in our freezer as evidence to this day. When I feel pissed off at something, I take a chunk out and throw it at something! LOL. Needless to say, this put the car into salvage range beyond repair cost alocated. It really sucked because I repainted it 2years before.

Now I don't care what happens to the shell of the car so I plan to give her more hell in road races this year.

Well I just had the opportunity to take the SE into town and let 2 interested parties test drive it. Ebay is good because it lets people from different parts of the state or country find out about stuff. Both of these families were from quite a distance away and the one family has a son at Annapolis who is a rotorhead. It is great for me to see there are some bonafide rotorites that will bid on this car. Both families already own first gens, and are thinking about the SE upgrade.
Cheers,
