Talking what is all needed to turbo a 12a

right now i have a moddifed carb, the carb hat, the turbo manifold, what else do i need?

exhaust intercooler ignition? i'm sure there are tons and tons more

haha, well.... a turbocharger, turbo oil system, upgraded fuel system, downpipe, exhaust, locked dizzy possibly, some sort of plumbing to get the air from the turbo to the carb hat. There's more, just depends on how far you want to go with your setup. Drop me a PM if you have any questions, I may be able to help, as I've been playing with different setups and options for turbocharging a 12a for the past few years.

intercooler, Rising Rate FPR, inline fuel guage, fuel pump?(depends on porting and turbo size), "Locked Dizzy" mod. Can't think of anything else.

would it be easyer/cheeper to just buy a 12a turbo engine from Rotaryshack??

easier maybe if it came with uncut harness, cheaper probably not because he already has the carb, hat , and manifold.

Plus the turbo on the 12at is so small you're not looking at enough of an upgrade to make it worth it. You best bet is to build your own 12a turbo.

i havnt gotten one of those motors in about a year.. very rare .. the efi harness is cut too, so it would be cheaper to turbocharge yours.
