thats a video, lol. listen :/

maybe some royal purple? I've been told that might shut it up....it's just so damned spendy. It has a new clutch kit in it, btw. so I know it's not that :[
you cant hear it in the video, but when you depress the clutch the whirring goes away slowly, like whatever that's in the gearbox spinning is coming to a stop.

yeah....still drives pretty smooth, sometimes 1st to 2nd is a little rough. 4th gear is the best gear in the damn box, it doesn't whine at all. 5th does a tiny bit. maybe this is just an excuse to upgrade the trans.

Just needs a rebuild? Sounds like it needs new bearings.

that's what I was figuring it was, but if I'm going to drop the trans might as well put something better in it, i figure. maybe i'll just rebuild it, I don't know. If i can get my hands on a 76 CVCC I've been heckling this guy about, I'll rebuild it.

anything i can put in there to help lengthen it's life? or at least shut it up?

unless the oil is wrong or worn out completely, its the bad bearing being noisy, so no

its not too bad to rebuild these transmissions
