ok this is BadAssRX-7... im over here working on my friends RX-2... and what happens my car rolls down the driveway....with the e brake on and hits his REPU. **** **** DAMIT TO HELL.... i need a front bumper, drivers side headlight lid and asmb. valance pannel and drivers fender... and repaint the hood. today isnt a good day... ill get a pic soon... im pissed
similar thing happened to me. Except I didn't roll into an REPU I rolled into a guys fence thank god for property damage insurance. Damaged my fender valance and headlight cover.
That sucks man sounds like yours is alot worse. I think what saved me is the fact that the ebrake kept the car from picking up speed. So don't feel too bad you are not the only one who has done that

Makes me wanna adjust my ebrake...Anyone know how? Its got brand new pads back there, but the ebrake doesnt do anything really. Not enough to notice anyway. The back tires will lock up (just the back cause my tires are REALLY bald) if I slam on the brakes so I know the calipers are working, I just need to loose the slack in the cable...So is this something I have to do under the car?

its not hard to tighten the e-brake cable. just take off the plastic cover on the handle, and theres a screw you need to tight and it clicks, maybe 2-3 clicks, dont make it too tight obviously because it will rub.

Remove the plastic cover, 1 screw and it unsnaps (carefully) take flathead screwdriver and start turning the screw

dude don't mess with the ebrake at the handle...tackle it at the drums if it drums...
take them off and use a flathead screw driver...click the rotating adjuster it's tricky but you'll get the hang of it and fit the drum back until it's a bit snug...
best way, not easy but much better.

under the car there's usually a metal piece that looks like a hollow tube with slits cut in it and a bolt threaded in each end. Each 'bolt' is attached to a separate piece of cable, By turning this tube, you can take up cable slack or release tension, similar to adjusting a tie-rod end.
There is supposed to be a long nut on that threaded piece. On the top of the nut is a slot for a flat head screw driver, so that you can adjust the tension on the cables. If that nut is missing like your's is. The handle can not pull on the cable, so you don't have an emergancy brake!!!!
I'd say go by the junk yard but you can't drive
