Well recieved my CP racing flush mounts... Sigh....

Hey guys,
well I found a member on this site selling CP racing flushmounts about a month ago. He was selling them for about 100 bucks cheaper than the CP racing website. I desperately need headlights so I figured why not and I went for it.

First of all I want to state that I knew the CP racing headlight kit wasn't the most amazing quality... I do read others posts you know =).

The auction described the item as being BRAND NEW, box only opened once, and still has instructional video and all hardware. It also talked about getting the item in 5-7 days rather than waiting months for CP racings horrible shipping times.

Well anyways the package came today, I open it up expecting to see brand new lights. But the plexicovers are scratched deeply in some areas and have alot of other scratches... The rubber moulding/sealant around the plexi had seperated so the appearance was HORRIBLE. The one housing has both of the lights broken, one is split directly down the middle and the other is split down the side... I also noticed 3 of the 4 lights were installed wrong. Then I realized I was at the bottom of the package that was sent to me... No hardware, no instructional video, broken lights, scratched up plexicovers.

Anyways my question, are the CP racing lights seriously put together that shitty that they arrive broken and scratched up or should I be hunting down my seller and start getting him to do some explaining. I am really dissapointed in this because I was expecting alot more...

Ill post pictures at some point here, but im not impressed with the whole situation especially after paying about 550ish Canadian for the lights...

If the item you received was not as described, then you just answered your own question. Load up the ol' shotgun and get to hunting...

Ouch. The CP Racing lights are built very poorly but I don't think they should be scratched. I'd contact the seller. If you can wait a few weeks I should have my flush lights prototyped and ready to build

I hate crap like that!

If its broke and you know it, TELL THE BUYER!! Dont try and blame it on shipping or say it worked when I took it off!

Go after the seller, If like you said it came video and such, and its not in there! Theres your first problem not like the seller described! I would demand my money back or at least most of it.

If that doesnt work post him name on the fourm, At least we can all know what a shady business man looks like!

I hope you used a credit card when you paid. Contact the seller and ask for a refund. If that does not work, file a chargeback on said credit card!

If you end up having to keep them I can reccomend some ways to polish the lenses. Either abrasive pastes http://www.noscratch.com/novus/ or abrasive disks http://www.etr-inc.com/

Ive used both for acrylic aquariums and they work great!

FULL REFUND, I sold mine after being on the car for 6 months and they went to the new owner in better shape than the 'new' ones you described.
Either they lied outright or they badly packaged them and got banged around and the video and instructions fell out. so FULL REFUND.

on a side note. your car is far to nice to have them crappy lights on your car. I took them off after realizing how they degraded all the hard work I put into my car only to have cheap *** lights sticking out for all to see.
