Well a long update in the cosmo POS saga, WIDEBODY kit install

Well finally got around to installing my widebody on my cosmo POS. 1st thing to say is the kit is ok, but damn I got a lot of work to do, they could have done a better job with making the body lines etc look right with the kit. But anyways, here they are.. Please excuse the wheels they will be sold soon.

Paint weighs too much I definately dont want to make it any slower than it is now. LOL

Unfortuneately, Im keeping it the stock color, yucky nasty tender blue metallic, ill ad some blue pearl to it to spice it up tho.

looks pretty good. Is that piece, that sits above the bumper, and between the headlights part of the kit.....or stock? Looks a little out of position in the pics

I wanted a white Mariah wide body for a long time. Then I saw one on the highway the other night. Now I REALLY want one .

Good eye, thats one of the problems with it, its a little wide for the header panel. I will have to do some grinding and refiberglassing i suppose, you didnt catch the drivers door and fender where they meet especially at the top? LOL Thats gonna look like **** when I put glossy paint on it

Oh and the headlight lids dont have any bolts in them, so they are sitting down a little, I havent bolted them up, so thats a lot of it... Im gonna have to grind the bolt holes a little

i dont know what it is about those wide body kits, but they are just beautiful!

I plan on getting one on my car and getting the thing painted before winter. Otherwise i'm going to have rust cancer from hell on my fenders.

nice thing about these are you can have a rusted to hell car, cut out all the rust, and dont worry about the sheet metal behind it, just remove the rust so it cant grow any more once the kit is installed. But to be honest the Mariah kit leaves some things to be desired , they could have done a better job with the f'glass. Notice the body line at the driver's door and fender, especially at where the molding goes, and at the top?

What is the point of these wide body kits? IS it all for looks and too allow for spacers on the wheels?

They do look great though.

Hell I dunno why I got one, I could have just tubbed the car and been done with it But i had a bumper cover in the front that needed replacing, the pass fender had problems too, so I thought why not... I kinda wished Id just saved the money for a nicer turbo like a GT35/40

You have to cut? For some reason I just thought they layed on top of the existing panels and were fiberglassed into place or something...

Check out the mod list, im not a stranger to that... The wheels and the the rear end with a nice suspension and brake setup is next part of the plan. And then the plan for next year will be a GT35/40 or somehting bigger

Damn. Maybe I wont go with the widebody and just get the mode 4 stuff...Im too lazy and cheap to do all that other work. I sure like the widebody look though... Of course, with NO money, Ive got some time to think about it .
