just what i need though another car to be a money pit lol.

oh and for the record i have a very weird kit. my side skirts are different than the ones on the site and my rear spoiler (which isnt pictured) is different too.

ive found that the easiest way to mount that front is with two people, one on each end. that keeps you from putting a ton of stress on one area, with two of ya you can put a little stress across the whole thing and slip it on.

Might of been better to fully mount before painting, remove, then paint and put back on for a good idea of exactly what ur up against.

Unless of course you're already in the process of doing just that.... I used to HATE installing fresh painted parts when I did autobody work...

Looking good.

the kit was already mocked up and necessary body work to accommodate fitting was done prior to paint. it would make no sense to have painted then attempted to do body work after.

i just happen to know that this particular piece is a pain in the *** to install. yes it was made from a mold but not all the pieces come out exactly the same nor do they fit exactly the same.

as for using 2 people. yes it does make it easier due to being able to hold things in place however one thing to consider is that fiberglass no matter how thick is brittle in nature and using 2 people to push it into place or attempt to stretch it over the existig bumper causes more strain on the piece.

Nice color, can't quite tell what it is though. Looks like a gun metal color or is the flash playing tricks on me? Looking forward to pics of the completed car.

I prefer no sideskirts. The car still lines up with the front and rear kit. I've never liked side skirts on an FB unless if they are molded..

Looks like what I have to do to my kit if I ever get around to it.

I got a good deal on the side skirts/rear fache and 3 piece spoiler.

Now they all need body work and I cant find the time to do it.

I really need to find a place at my college where I am able to do that kind of thing.

Yours looks great. Make sure to get pictures of how you mount the rear fache. I want to know how many rivets I will have to be adding. Thanks!

its flat black. like i said the clear wasnt dry so it still had a bit of a gloss to it. as it dried out it started to look amazing. now that its totally dry im in love with my car all over again. i got the front and sides on today before i ran out of light and energy. plus the back is being a bitch. so i decided it has tomorrow written all over it. i have learned the more tired and annoyed i get the more likely i am to make a mistake so its better to walk away

as for mounting points the front has 4 screws and 5 rivets and the sides are the same 4 screws and 4 rivets. its looking like im going to be able to get the rear on with 4 screws and 4 rivets. but its going to depend on how it hangs on the corner that way. id really like to not have to rivet all the way around but we will see tomorrow.

so you just have to find spots to screw and rivet that are hidden. when your done can you take pics. i iam allways wanting to learn.

lol thanks captain obvious.

the point youre missing is that its fiber glass and relatively thin fiberglass at that (in the grand scheme of things not really but for where it is yeah it is) even if i mount/attach it where i want to (all hidden places) that doesnt mean its going to cooperate and hang properly on the corner.

as for pictures of where its mounted all pieces will be different (but ill take them for you anyhow) and have to be mounted differently. not all cars are the same and not all pieces of molded fiberglass are the same (in fact they are never the same)
