Why does everyone take the hard route by "wrestling" with the big flywheel nut?

I have disasembled 10-12 motors now. The first 1 I fought all day with the flywheel nut.. Then I wised up. USe an impact gun..Geez took 30 seconds.. Then I used a homemade flywheel puller.. Wham.. DONE!
